Online Classrooms and how COVID-19 did not stop St. Pauls International School:
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected educational systems worldwide, leading to the near-total closures of schools, universities and colleges. Around 32 crore learners including schools/colleges and all educational activities halted in India. In fact, it worked like a catalyst for education system and created a situation where the system could grow and opt for technology. When the globe was going through pandemic and lockdown crisis the education system did not give up and provided students as well as teachers the opportunity of learning through the online streams.
St. Pauls was one of the first schools to adopt online learning platforms. While other education firms were figuring out different ways to deal with the pandemic, St. Pauls had already established a firm protocol for the lockdown session and provided training to the faculty members. We used the recently launched Cisco Webex classroom platform to conduct online classes. Cisco Webex allows the user to experience a hybrid learning environment. Webex keeps remote learning secure and student data private in accordance with the school’s privacy and security policies. The interface for Cisco Webex is very user friendly and students find it very easy to operate ensuring proper interaction between the teacher and student. In addition to that google classrooms as well as several other digital media were utilized to make the virtual classrooms as effective as possible.

Parent Teacher Interactions
It is with profound sense of gratitude that I record the contributions of parents to the process and well being of the institution. A good rapport is maintained between parents and staff. Parent Teacher interactions are held after the examinations. We really thank the parents for their love and affection they have shown to the staff members and the management.
Our School is really indebted to the Patron, His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, whose blessings touch the personal and professional lives of the entire school community. All the infrastructural developments show the concern and love of our Patron towards the SPIS family.
I take this opportunity to thank the school management for their guidance, support and co-operation. I do need to specially mention our school Director, Rev.Dr.Douglas Pinheiro, for all his timely advice, guidance, support, help and co operation given to us for the development of the school and for the personal and professional growth of each staff.
Mr. C.C.Raphael, Manager of the school plans and implements many things for the infrastructural development and he makes arrangements for the various scholastic and co curricular activities.
Before I conclude, with heart full of gratitude, I remember parents, teachers, students, well wishers and public who tried to uphold the name of this institution. I thank all the members of the staff who have been co-operating with me in various activities. I am fully aware that the success of each and every activity in the school was due to the commitment and hard work of our staff and students. I hope the school will scale greater heights in the years to come.
We would love to hear your valuable suggestions / feedback.
