“ Birth is a new beginning. It is a window to the chance of a lifetime, the chance to fulfil a unique mission. So a birthday is a momentous occasion.”
With the desire to wish good health and a longer life to our Principal, Mr. K.V. George on his birthday, variety of programmes were organized by the school on 14th November, 2018. This day is celebrated as Children’s Day across India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is the birth anniversary of the first Prime-Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru also called Chacha Nehru. This day is known as Bal Divas.
By invoking the choicest blessings on our Principal, Mr. K. V. George, the celebration began with a prayer song by the school choir followed by a reading from the Holy Bible.
The Director of the School, Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro addressed the gathering. A bouquet was also presented by the Director to the Principal as a token of love. Students also offered birthday cards as a token of love and respect to the Principal. The Director also said about the fundamental quality that each and everyone should have in one’s life which is ‘connection’ as it makes human advancement possible. He also wished the Principal on his birthday and appreciated him for the service that he is doing to the school.
A powerpoint presentation was presented by the students of the SPIS on the memorable moments of our Principal, Mr. K. V. George.
Then it was the time of the tiny toddlers to expresss their love to the Principal. They sang birthday song and also performed variety of dances. Mrs. Catherine felicitated on the occasssion. Many energetic and colourful cultural programmes were performed by the students from every class to entertain the audience.
The Principal of the School, Mr. K.V.George thanked the organizing committee and the entire SPIS family for the wonderful programmes. He also said to express love and affection to students and it would be returned to us with more love from them. The Programme was compered by Abhirami Allen and Milan George of Class XI.
