PARTENZA 2017- 2018

Partenza, the farewell function of the outgoing students of Class XII of SPIS was effectuated on 23rd February, 2018 in the school auditorium. The programmes were hosted by the students of Class XI.

Partenza, the farewell function of the outgoing students of Class XII of SPIS was effectuated on 23rd February, 2018 in the school auditorium. The programmes were hosted by the students of Class XI. The programmes commenced with a procession at the entrance by the Class XII students and the teachers at the end of which they let go off hydrogen balloons which was a symbol of their debouch into the outer world. The invocation by Kumari Akshatha, Kumari Vaibhavi and Kumari Helen mobilized the farewell function.

The gregarious outgoing students were given a cordial welcome through a dance by the students of Class XI followed by the welcome speech by Master Gourishankar, the Vice - Captain of SPIS. Partenza was inaugurated by the Director of the school, Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro, Mr. George K V, the Principal, Mr. C C Raphael, the Manager, the Co-ordinator, Ms. Deepa D, Ms. Delphi T V and Ms.Tania Victor, the Class teachers of XII A and B and Kumari Mariam Anna Varghese, the School Captain.

In the inaugural address Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro conveyed his wishes to the outgoing students and expressed that where ever they go and where ever they reach in life they should keep their Paulian spirits high. The Principal, Mr. George K. V addressed the students and advised the students to be positive throughout their life, to become successful, face challenges to be courageous, never give up in any attempt to gain something, and be a very good human being.

The ceremonial tradition of passing the light of wisdom was carried out in a stupendous manner in which the 12th graders received blessings from the entire teaching faculty followed by the Parents, Manager, Principal and the Director who blessed them while passing the candle light to the students.

Kumari Mariam Anna Varghese, the School Captian administered the oath. Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro blessed the outgoing students with a prayer after which the outgoing students transferred their light of wisdom to the 11th graders. The students in unison with one heart and soul sang the Paulian Anthem. Mementos were distributed to the students who were passing out from the school by the Director, Principal, Manager and the Class Teachers of class XII.

Various entertainment programmes were organized for the students which included a music band performance, a fun treat dance, a rock and roll dance with a power point presentation and boisterous games. On the enthralling occasion words of gratitude were extended by Ms. Delphi T V, Class Teacher of XII , Mr. Gopakumar and Mrs. Annamma Viji Varghese, parents of Class XII students, Master Jobin Joy and Kumari Sona Joe, students of Class XII. The programmes wrapped up with the vote of thanks by Kumari Farha of Class XI followed by the National Anthem.

  • GRAFFITI 2017
    On 19th October, St. Paul’s International School hosted ‘Graffiti 2017’, a wall painting competition. Almost 40 students illustrated their skills and creativity in the field of graffiti by painting on the walls using multitudinous hues. Dr. Sheela Seth, the Principal of the school inaugurated the wall painting competition, that upheld innovation and noveau ideas as its motto and kept aside the traditional means of rendering art.
  • Cultural Meet 2019 - 20
    The rich and fabulous cultural extravaganza 2019 - 20 was inaugurated on 27th July, 2019 in the St Paul's International School with great fervour. The welcome address was given by Ms Anjaly Sabu of class XI B. The Presidential address was delivered by the Principal of the school, Mr George K. V. He advised the students to be positive in life. They should accept failures sportingly. He reiterated that failures are the stepping stones of success. The programme was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Justice C. N. Ramachandran Nair lighting the ceremonial lamp.
  • World Space Week
    As part of the celebration of "SPACE WEEK" a lecture demonstration about the space science and technology by the eminent scientist, ISRO, Dr Ramachandra Rao was arranged in St Paul's International School, Kalamasserry on 14th October, 2019 in the School auditorium. The class was very resourceful and interesting. The welcome address was delivered by Jennisa Marian Chandyson of VIII- B. The Presidential address was delivered by the Principal of the School, Mr George K. V. He encouraged the students to study in the field of space science and technology and specified about the various examinations that they can appear for. The Chief Guest of the function, Dr Ramachandra Rao, VSSC, ISRO discussed the various areas of space technology. He stressed on the importance of space technology across the globe to emerge as the leading nation. He also mentioned about the ways to promote space science and improve the space studies. The vote of thanks was proposed by Angelline C. R. of VIII-A. The Programme concluded with the National Anthem.
  • BREAKING BARRIERS
    As part of the SALT module “Breaking Barriers” by PeoplePro LEAD, the 7th graders of St Pauls International School, Kalamassery interviewed Ms Surya Vinod on 7th August 2017. Words of inspiration and motivation echoed as the transgender and the television celebrity Ms. Surya Vinod spoke to a group of 12 year olds about overcoming challenges and breaking barriers in life.
  • Balajanasakyam and Nallapadam Inauguration 2017
    On 9th August 2017 Balajanasakyam and Nallapadam Clubs were inaugurated at St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery. The chief guest of the occasion was Mr. Joshy George, a renowned cartoonist, writer and a motivational speaker. “A smiling face has the ability to instill happiness and self confidence in an individual.
  • Inauguration of SEED Club
    To make students proactive on their role as responsible stewards of the environment, SEED club is organized for students of class I to VIII. SEED is the abbreviation for Students Empowerment for Environmental Development. The club was inaugurated on 8th July 2016 in the school auditorium.
  • Abridging the Culture through Art Integration
    A virtual interactive programme on Art Integration Project was organised by St. Paul’s International School with St. Mary’s School, Himachal Pradesh on Dec11, 2020 at 12.45 PM. The session started with a prayer and the Welcome Address was conveyed by the Principal, Mrs. Sheela Xavier, SPIS. Rev Dr. Douglas Pinheiro, the Director of SPIS expressed his happiness in greeting the students for taking up the initiative. The direct exchange of information on the culture of the states, climate and crops, art forms and festivals, Tourism and Covid -19 statuses enriched, enhanced and added to the knowledge of the students. Besides, the significance of Art Integration in education and Ek Bharath Shresht Bharath were discussed. The endeavour taken by both the schools in imparting the knowledge of culture, tradition and practices led to a widened understanding and bonding between the states, developing productive and research skills in the aspirants and strengthening the unity and integrity of India. Vote of Thanks was delivered by the partner school and the session ended at 2.30 PM
  • Investiture Ceremony
    To train the students to develop their leadership skills, St. Paul’s school’s students’ council was selected and invested on 4th July, 2016.
  • Annual Academic Exhibition 2019 - 20
    The Annual Academic Exhibition 2019 - 20 of St Paul's International School was held on 29th and 30th July. Students of classes L.K.G to XII th showcased their innovative works on English, Hindi, Malayalam, Maths, Science, Social, Computer science, German, Spanish, Art and Craft etc. All the models, Charts and games were tastefully decorated and confidently demonstrated by the students. The exhibition was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest Prof Dr P. Venu, Head of the department of Mathematics of SCMS. The welcome address was given by the school captain Master Sohail Sanjay Moideen.
