On 8th January 2018, a talk on ‘Energy Conservation’ was organized by the SEED Club members of St. Paul’s International School. The Principal, Mr. George K.V addressed the gathering and introduced the guests to the students. A session on Energy Conservation was carried out by the guest of the day, Mr. Russel B. V, Assistant Engineer, Electrical Section, Aluva Town to give awareness to the students about the need to conserve electricity for our better future. He quoted Homi J. Bhabha and stated that “there is no power as costly as no power”. “If we do not conserve energy, our future generation will be in darkness”, expressed Mr. Russel B.V.
The Energy Managers of SPIS were acknowledged by Mr. Russel B.V, Mr. Rajan, Executive Engineer KSEB, Aluva, the Director of the school, Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro and the Principal Mr. George K. V during this occasion. The Energy Managers are those students who succeeded in reducing the electricity consumption of their homes after getting various tips from the school.
The Energy Managers of SPIS are Mast. Akshath Joseph of class I A , Mast. Pranav Krishnan and Ms. Neha Vice of Class I B, Mast. Jofy Bibu of class I C, Ms. Sarah S. Thomas of class II A, Ms. Adithya Tharun of class V A, Ms. Maria Theresa Antony and Mast. Juin Jestin K of class VI A, Ms. A. Devananda , Mast. Ananha Krishnan and Mast. Bhagat Krishna K. V of class VI B, Ms. Amiya Catherine Job and Ms. Anna Elizabeth of class IX A, Ms. Nisi Zacharia of class IX B and Mast. Nithin Manoj of class XI B. Ms. Pavithra K. S of class VII A delivered the welcome speech and Ms. Alyza Mary Alphone delivered the vote of thanks.
