Annual Day 2017- 2018

As the world celebrates the International Year of Sustainable Development and Tourism in the year 2017, St. Paul’s International School on 16th December celebrated its 15th Annual Day on the theme ‘I am a TOURIST’.

As the world celebrates the International Year of Sustainable Development and Tourism in the year 2017, St. Paul’s International School on 16th December celebrated its 15th Annual Day on the theme ‘I am a TOURIST’.

The Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Verapoly, Very Rev. Msgr. Mathew Kallinkal, inaugurated the function. The Chief Guest, Dr. Syed Ibrahim, Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kerala addressed the gathering. Dr. Syed Ibrahim commended SPIS for perceiving German language for the students. He extolled the efforts of the management, staff and students in bringing about the growth and development of the school.

The Director of the school, Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro expressed the relevance of the theme ‘I am a Tourist’, of the 15th Annual Day as it is The Year of Sustainable Development and Tourism. “We are all travellers in this world and our travels will pave as a powerful and transformative force in making a difference in the lives of millions of people”, opined Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro in his presidential address. Dr. Sheela Seth, the Principal of the school expounded the Annual Report 2017- 2018.

It was a proud moment as the Paulians were bestowed with accolades for their meritorious achievements. Trophies and medals were endowed to the outstanding students in academics and co-curricular activities.

The theme of the 15th Annual Day is unique as it is both philosophical and historical. The programme put forward by the exuberant Paulians for the Annual Day were unlike the cliché set of programs as there was no compeering or narration after each. The striking feature of the Annual Day was the theme song released by SPIS.

The Annual Day programme was compered by Mast. Alfred Thomas of X B, Ms. Raisa Parveen of IX A, Mast. Nikhil Kurian George of VII B and Ms. Sreya K B of VII A. Ms. Mariam Anna Varghese, the School Captain welcomed the gathering and Mast. Gouri Shankar R, the Vice Captain delivered the vote of thanks.

  • KERALA PIRAVI CELEBRATION
    Kerala Piravi marks the birth of the state of Kerala in India. Observing the state tradition and imbibing the true spirit of Keralites, St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery celebrated 62 nd Kerala Piravi on November 1, 2018.
  • Christmas Celebration – 2019
    Christmas was celebrated with great fervour and festivity on 21st December, 2019. Mesmerising, joyful and sweet carols presented by the lovely Santas enthralled the audience. The Presidential address was delivered by the Director of the school, Rev Dr Douglas Pinheiro. In his address, he reminded the students about the true message of Xmas - loving, sharing, praying and the family bonding. In his message the Principal of the school, Mr George K. V. thanked the management, teachers, parents, students and non-teaching staff members for the achievements of the school. He advised the students to have positive attitude in life. They should love and help each other. The highlights of the function was the well- conceived skit about Jesus. The programme concluded with the national anthem.
  • SEED CLUB Cleaning Campaign
    The waste disposed at the public premises in H M T Moolepadam Road (Kalamassery Muncipality Ward 6) was noticed by the SEED Club members of St. Paul’s International School and was brought into the attention of the concerned authorities by the school captain, Ms. Mariam Anna Varghese. In auspices with Kalamassery Municipality, Ward 6 Residents Association and Police, the students of SPIS got rid of the waste materials in that area.
  • Retreat 2019
    St Paul’s International School commenced the academic year 2019-’20 on 6th June with a retreat for the students. It was held at three different venues at St Paul’s International School for the students of the classes from UKG to XII. The retreat was led by Mr Bibin, Mr Paul and Brother Nandu. The day’s programme was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro. He encouraged the students to be a good human being apart from being mere good students. Felicitation address was delivered by the Principal Mr. George K.V. He reminded the Paulians about the rules and regulations of the school. Master Sohail Sanjay Moideen of XII B welcomed the gathering. The students were motivated and encouraged to lead a disciplined and systematic life. The session reinforced the importance of being positive in our life. Students were advised to maintain positive attitude, respectfulness towards parents, teachers and all the elders. The entire session was very lively and was presented with interesting stories and many real life anecdotes.
  • St. Paul's Cup - 9th All Kerala Interschool Basketball Tournament
    The 9th All Kerala Interschool Basketball Tournament hosted by St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery, has come to a cessation on 29th July 2017.
  • Healthy Karkkidakam – An Assemblage of Generations
    The Seed Club of St.Paul’s International School organised Healthy Karkkidakam programme to make the new gen students aware of the health tips that the olden generation had followed and also to understand the medicinal importance of Karkkidaka Kanji. The Chief Guest, Dr. Siju C. Thomas, Chief Physician of Ayurgiri Ayurveda Treatment Centre, Edappally inaugurated the function by serving the Karkkidaka Kanji to the grandparents. Mr K.V. George, Principal of the school presided over the meeting and was accompanied by Mr C.C. Raphael, the manager. The grandparents were highly spirited to impart their knowledge and experience on health issues to the students of Class VI, VII and VIII. Dr. Siju had an interaction with students, laying stress on the significance of the month Karkkidakam, which was also a platform for them to clear their doubts. The ‘Nadanpattu’ and ‘Koithupattu’ performed by the students added colour to the programme. Miss Jayalakshmi, Seed Cordinator delivered the welcome address and Kumari Karthika the vote of thanks. Under the initiative of Seed Club, Karkkidaka Kanji was distributed to the entire staff and students of the school.
  • Investiture Ceremony
    To train the students to develop their leadership skills, St. Paul’s school’s students’ council was selected and invested on 4th July, 2016.
  • Inauguration of SEED Club
    To make students proactive on their role as responsible stewards of the environment, SEED club is organized for students of class I to VIII. SEED is the abbreviation for Students Empowerment for Environmental Development. The club was inaugurated on 8th July 2016 in the school auditorium.
  • SPIK SPORTS MEET- 2019
    The 17th Annual Sports Meet of the KG Section of the St Paul's International School, Kalamasserry was held on 18th October, 2019. The Director of the school, Rev Dr Douglas Pinheiro lit the Olympic torch and officially inaugurated the sports meet. He appreciated the student's performances. The Principal, Mr George K. V was very glad to appreciate the Parent's active role in their ward's school activities. The sports meet comprised of various track events and other fun games. Some competitions for parents were also conducted. All the participants put up a grand show and proved their mettle. All the winners of the sports meet were awarded with certificates and medals. Prizes for the winners of parents were distributed in the closing ceremony.
  • Vidyarambham 2018
    St. Paul’s International school on Monday 11th June 2018 was all set for the sacred ceremony of the 16th Vidyarambham for the toddlers

Office will not be functioning on 2nd and 3rd Saturdays.

Parents may meet the Principal after prior appointment at the following timings. Monday - Friday 10.00 am - 11.00 am / 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm
