
St. Paul’s International School on 17th August 2017 celebrated the Farmer’s Day and honoured the indegenious mango tree in the school. The students and teachers decorated a mango tree by hanging various cut outs of mangoes inscribed with slogans that reinforces the importance of trees in our environment.

The students and teachers decorated a mango tree by hanging various cut outs of mangoes inscribed with slogans that reinforces the importance of trees in our environment. The Director of the school, Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro inaugurated the event and Dr. Sheela Seth, the Principal presided on the occasion. Mr. C C Raphael, the Manager of the school was also present for the function.

“ The benefits of trees that we enjoy today are the fruits of the hardwork of our ancestors. Even though time has taken them away from us they are still afresh in our memory because of the shade that the trees provide us”, expressed Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro. The golden words expressed by the Director is a true example of the fact that the good things we sow today will be reaped by our future generation. Dr. Sheela Seth opined that the slogans prepared by the students were thought provoking and had a huge significance in today’s world.

The SEED club members cantillated a poem on Trees penned by Shri. Mohana Krishna, Kaladyby standing in a circle around the decorated mango tree in the school.

The Art and Craft teacher Mr. Saju Thankappan welcomed the gathering. Ms. Neha Mariam Mathew of class IX B delivered the vote of thanks. The SEED club member Mast. Yousuf Sajid spoke on this occasion.
