Annual Day Celebration

The 14th Annual Day of St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery was held in the School Auditorium .

The 14th Annual Day of St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery was held in the School Auditorium . The most striking feature of this Annual Day was the theme 14x14x14=400. It implied remembering 400 years of Shakespeare’s legacy on the 14th Annual Day by exploring 14 themes from 14 sonnets of Shakespeare.

Concentrating on 14 themes from the 14 sonnets of Shakespeare, around 400 students were on the stage to mark the 400th year of the Death Anniversary, of the greatest writer, in the English language. With their colorful performances which included musical concerts, skits, mime, puppet show, dances and fashion shows, themes like procreation, beauty, true love, immortality of art, human emotions like fear of separation, fear of death, reminiscence of the past life, etc were a visual treat to the august gathering.

Eulogizing Shakespeare in his Presidential address, the School Director, Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro, pointed out the impact that Shakespeare brought to the world of literature. He also expressed his gratitude to the patron, His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Francis Kallarakal who was to relinquish the office as the Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Verapoly and patron of the school.

In his inaugural address, the patron, His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Francis Kallarakal appreciated the growth of the institution with sincere efforts on the side of teachers and parents. He expressed his greatest desire to see students accomplishing great things in their lives.

The Chief Guest was Prof. (Dr.) Rose Varghese, Vice-Chancellor of National University of Advanced Law Studies, (NUALS), Kalamassery. Mesmerized with the theme of the Annual Day, the Guest remarked that it was beyond anybody’s imagination to witness themes from Sonnets on the stage.

The School Annual Report 2016-17 was presented by the School Principal Dr. Sheela Seth. The pen-picture of all the activities, the achievements of the students, besides the appreciations from the stakeholders prove that St. Paul’s International School is one of the best schools in the district of Ernakulam. School Annual was released. Trophies and medals were awarded to the outstanding students in academics and co-curricular activities.

The Annual Day programme was anchored by Ann Mary Helen of X B, Subham Samant of XI A and Hazel Mary Kampakkaran of XI A. Welcome address was rendered by the School Captain Ms. Vaishnavi G. Rao. Master Adarsh J. proposed vote of thanks.

  • PARTENZA 2019-20
    PARTENZA-2019-20 25th January, 2020 was a red letter day for the St Paul's International School, Kalamasserry, as it was the parting moment of the class XII students. Partenza was celebrated in a grand manner. The occasion commenced with the inaugural address by the SPIS Director, Rev. Dr. Douglas Pinheiro, followed by the message of the Principal, Mr George K. V. The welcome address was delivered by the vice captain of SPIS, Miss Raisa Parveen of class XI A. All the parents of class XII students were cordially invited to bless their wards and grace the occasion. The outgoing students were blessed by all the teachers and their parents for achieving success in life. The passing the light of wisdom to the class XI students heralded the continuation of the rich legacy and tradition of the school. Some interesting songs and dances performed by the students of class XI prepped up the programme. The outgoing students were presented with momentos by the school. The vote of thanks was delivered by Miss Aira Assainar of XI A.

    The much awaited Closing Ceremony of the 16th Annual Sports Meet was held on Saturday, 3rd November, 2018 in St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery with great excitement.
  • TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
    St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery, celebrated Teacher’s Day on 30th August 2017. It was the big day for all the faculty members at SPIS. The students of the Higher Secondary Section organized a function for the teachers.
  • BREAKING BARRIERS
    As part of the SALT module “Breaking Barriers” by PeoplePro LEAD, the 7th graders of St Pauls International School, Kalamassery interviewed Ms Surya Vinod on 7th August 2017. Words of inspiration and motivation echoed as the transgender and the television celebrity Ms. Surya Vinod spoke to a group of 12 year olds about overcoming challenges and breaking barriers in life.

    On 12th December, 2018, a class on Energy Conservation was organised at St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery
  • ENGLISH CLUB INAUGURATION
    The Prestigious English Club was inaugurated with a gala function on 17th October, 2019 in the auditorium. The function started with the invocation by the School choir. The welcome speech was delivered by Miss Abida, Class VII-B. The Presidential address was delivered by the Principal, Mr George K. V. He inspired the students to develop good characters and hone their skills with regular practice. They should use the opportunities in life most effectively. The English Club was officially inaugurated by lighting the lamp.Chief Guests of the day were Miss Anu Sam, Guest lecturer of St Paul's College and Miss Gayathri Rajeev, the budding singer and SPIS Alumni . . Students presented various power packed programmes like "Disney Stars", Recitation, "Behind the Mask", "Pop" etc. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Miss Neha, Class-VII-A. The Programme concluded with the National Anthem.

    The evening of 2017 was an incredible not to the St. Paul's International school, Kalamassery as they celebrated their "Partenza 2016-17".
  • Career Guidance Webinar 2020 – 2021
    SPIS conducted a two hour webinar on career guidance for the students and parents of Class IX and X on 5th Dec 2020 and for Class XI and XII on 7th Dec 2020 (6.30pm to 8.30pm).Both sessions were handled by the immensely experienced and professional Mr. Sajith Thomas, Career Consultant, Malayala Manorama. He addressed the factors that could affect the choice of students. The session was aimed at creating an awareness of the multiple career options available and assisting individuals with career development. The Paulians were guided to identify their interests and to pinpoint what they are good at. He further explained,“Career is a main concern for everyone and the choice for a career should be developed at the earliest.” He motivated them to have an idea of a realistic dream and the passion to excel in the field. The session was a vast exposure to the bifurcated courses, renowned colleges, universities and exams as well. The interactive session helped the students to have a better understanding of the opportunities that could be opted by them. The webinar truly served the purpose by directing the individuals to help them acquire the knowledge, information, skills and experience necessary to identify career options and narrow them down to make one career decision.
  • Independence Day Celebration 2017
    The 70th Independence Day was celebrated at St. Paul’s International school on 15th August 2017. The celebration gained momentum with the flag hoisting at 8.45 am by Dr. Sheela Seth, the Principal of the school.

    ‘Birthdays are good for health. Studies show those who have more birthdays live longer.’
  • Farmer’s Day
    St. Paul’s International School on 17th August 2017 celebrated the Farmer’s Day and honoured the indegenious mango tree in the school. The students and teachers decorated a mango tree by hanging various cut outs of mangoes inscribed with slogans that reinforces the importance of trees in our environment.
